During the closing today, the Sensex registered a drop of 882.61 points, or 1.81%. The index has closed at the level of 47949.42. At the same time, the Nifty has fallen by 258.40 points i.e. 1.77% and the index has closed at the level of 14359.50. After today’s trading, about 723 stocks have gained and 2091 stocks have fallen. There is no change in 157 shares.
Today, the pharma shares have seen a slight increase, while the financial and auto sectors have been beaten. On the Nifty, PSU banking shares have fallen by 4 per cent, while Infra, Metal and Energy have also fallen by 1-2 per cent.
If you look at today’s opening, this morning, despite the positive signal from the global markets, the opening was seen with a tremendous fall in the domestic stock markets. In early trade, the Sensex had fallen to 1300 points. Both the index had declined by more than 2 percent.
At 9.20 in the morning, the Sensex was trading at a level of 47,778.75, down 2.16 percent, or 1053.55 points. At the same time, the NSE Nifty lost 332.45 points, or 2.16 per cent, after which the index was trading at a level of 14,285.50.
If we talk about 10.19, the Sensex has fallen by 1,238.47 points ie 2.54 per cent and the index was trading at 47,593.56 during this period. At the same time, the Nifty was trading at a level of 14,258.55, taking a decline of 359.30 points, or 2.46 per cent, during this period.
